Brief History
The Interior Design Students’ Saturday is a yearly event organized by Malaysian Society of Interior Designers (MSID) and local colleges/universities for Interior Design students all over Malaysia.

Student Saturdays are a landmark event in the career of any Interior Design student in Malaysia. This event allows the students to mingle, share and learn from each other, with Interior Design industry figures, and vice versa.

There has been 14 Student Saturdays up til now. The very first event, Interior Design Students' Saturday SATU,  was held in 1991 in UiTM Shah Alam. That means 14 years of enriching the lives of local ID Students!

Every year since then, local colleges and institutions have been taking turns to host this huge gathering of designers.

2010 for MSID 5BELAS
This year, The Design School at Taylor's of Taylor's University College are the proud hosts of MSID 5Belas (pronounced Li-Ma-Be-Las, which means fifteen in Malay) and this year's theme is BIOSPHERE.

This theme is derived from the term Biosphere, originally coined by geologist Eduard Suess, which means the place where all living things live.

We chose this theme because we desire to make our students aware of the impact they have on the environment and on all living things. They have a responsibility to create environmentally-sound solutions as designers of tomorrow. We will instill sustainable design ideas, innovations and practices through the 5Belas’s exhibitions, industry talks, workshops, games and competitions.
